PROJECT Grand Avenue Major Investment Study, Phase II A Phase II Major Investment Study (MIS) is being initiated for the section of Grand Avenue south of Loop 101. It will identify any additional roadway capacity improvements needed as well as address beautification, access control, ITS implementation, drainage, transit and bicycle/pedestrian needs and other issues that may be identified in the course of the study. The study is expected to be completed by the end of 2005. The previous MIS was completed in September 1999 and focused on recommendations for grade separations. In January 2000, the MAG Regional Council approved the September 1999 MIS for inclusion in the 2000 Update of the MAG Long Range Transportation Plan.
